Sr. Operations Manager - Freight Forwwarding

We are looking to fill the role of Sr. Operations Manager a critical position in our Clark Worldwide Transportation (CWT) Division. This opportunity is located in our Pinebrook, NJ location and offers a very competitive salary and benefits package.

Job Description:
- Manage - Coach a staff of 5 to 10 with performance management
- Lead and mentor staff
- Procurement of International Ocean Freight and Air Freight pricing with proven ability to reduce spend
- Monitor carrier(s) performance review & ensure standards and requirements are complied with
- Handling export activities for Air and Ocean freight including carrier bookings, cargo tracing, shipment documentation and customer communication (Extensive Experience) IE: MAWB/MBL/HAWB/MF
- AES Direct / SOLAS / VGM / INTRAA
- Trans-Atlantic / Pacific carrier routings and KTL's
- FCL - LCL loading
- ULD loading
- Effectively monitoring department(s) performance with KPI matrixes
- Responding to RFQ's/quotation preparation
- Audit and approve vendor invoices
- Employee recruitment / training-mentoring
Job Requirements:

Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in International Freight Forwarding - (In depth knowledge of the International freight forwarding industry)color=red>
- P/L experience
- Customer focused and results-oriented with excellent communication skills to deliver quality service
- Knowledge of the trucking industry and familiarity with arranging pick-ups and deliveries
- Experience with US import formalities, CHB, ISF 10 2 filings, HTS classifications
- CCSF knowledge & experience mandatory - Will take lead role of Principal Security Coordinator
- Working knowledge of IATA,ICAO, TSA, IAC, FMC, CT-PAT and other regulatory influences on transportation activity
- Microsoft literate
- Sales oriented
- Bilingual English/Spanish speaking is a plus
- Must pass mandatory background/drug testing
- Self-starter and ability to succeed in a fast-paced team environment.
- Familiarity with Cargo Wise a plus
