Pan-Link is a leading international cargo transportation company has an immediate opening at our New York branch located in Lynbrook, NY, for an experienced Sales Manager.
We are looking for a candidate who is dynamic, highly motivated, and reliable. Candidate must be a highly motivated, hunter type with a proven track record of sales success.
Job Duties:
- Identify and develop relationships with key decision makers at all levels within an account
- Understand the customer's buying process and identify all influences
- Qualify and quantify potential growth opportunities
- Securing & Maintaining new accounts through scheduled sales visits and cold calls. Mining existing accounts for new business.
- Obtains sales leads and follows up with potential customer
- Responds to customer requests for rate quotes.
- Provides the customer with accurate, timely rate information.
- Involved in the sales process to secure new business
- Daily/Weekly customer sales visits
- Updates and maintains Sales Activity
- Updates customers on tariff/schedule/service changes
- Help mentor younger sales staff
Sales Focus:
Transpacific Air/Ocean Import and Export / Customs Brokerage
Job Requirements:
- Ideal Candidate will have knowledge of OCEAN/AIR IMPORT AND EXPORT CARGO INDUSTRY ON THE FREIGHT FORWARDING SIDE.
- Knowledge of local markets and relationships with key decision makers within the local market.
- The successful candidate must have good written and verbal skills and must be able to communicate with clients at all levels within the corporation.
- Experience selling Transpacific services
- Book of business is a big plus!!!
