Job Description:

GAC North America- Logistics is currently seeking highly motivated and energetic Sales Executive to join our Chicago office. The position requires new business development, expending current product line and product marketing for our sea and airfreight departments. GAC is offering competitive salary, excellent benefits as well as car allowance.

Responsibilities include:
  • Growing air and sea freight sales.
  • Communicating with shippers as well as GAC local management.
  • Identifying business opportunities.
  • Inputting and updating sales activities by utilizing the sales management software, KPI.
  • Developing working business relationships and maintaining existing customers.
  • Working and communicating closely with customers and GAC staff to assure uniform understanding of customer expectations relative to operational solutions, timeline, costs and results.
  • Delivering presentations of the company products
  • Monitoring and identifying business threats and opportunities.
  • Directing operational issues to the correct operational owner.

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent related work experience.
  • 4 years of freight forwarding sales experience.
  • Negotiating the agreement terms and closing down sales, excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Interacting with customers by phone, email and in-person on regular basis.
  • Proficiency in Windows programs like Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Stellar organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
