We maintain SQF Level 3 food-grade co-packing rooms to provide both labor-intensive and automated fulfillment for top 100 food brand companies. Summary
Direct single-site manufacturing operations through a team of supervisors and assistant supervisors to ensure increasing levels of customer and employee satisfaction while improving production through the efficiency of labor, materials and machines. Ultimately responsible for 100 employees (multi-shifts).
Responsibilities of the Position
- Manage policy deployment in the areas of Lean Manufacturing techniques, quality, cost reduction, complete and on-time delivery, safety, customer satisfaction, employee relations, and plant performance measures.
- Provide leadership by modeling effective communications, coaching, training, and development.
- Provide leadership for problem resolution to facilitate fast improvements and improved working relationships.
- Manage material scrap to increase efficiencies and use of planned material.
- Ensure compliance for cost control, waste reduction, quality, OSHA, safety, and complete and on-time delivery at the lowest possible cost.
- Determine production line headcount needs and ensures compliance with Company policies.
- Identify, communicate and drive implementation of capital investments and improvement projects.
- Manage compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Report machine problems or concerns to Maintenance department.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
- Experience with Production/Manufacturing environment (food packaging preferred)
- Lean Manufacturing knowledge
- Microsoft Office Experience
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Ability to prioritize and organize work load.
