Incumbent is responsible for monitoring and controlling all plant wide production activity to ensure appropriate levels of inventory accuracy. This includes the inventory of raw materials; work in process and finished goods through cycle counting. Responsible for making any changes or corrections to ensure product is in accurate ranges. Position includes kitting parts and maintaining line side inventory.
Responsibilities:
- Accurate and thorough review of all inventory activity to support plant wide inventory accuracy goals.
- Investigate inventory discrpancies, corrects on-hand balances in appropriate manner and determines root causes.
- Completes daily clerical tasks associated with reviewing production, receiving and shipping data for accuracy.
- Performs cycle count/inventory reconciliactions and publishes weekly results.
- Issues parts to work orders.
- End of month closing.
- Maintain and close work orders.
- Observe and manage line side inventory.
- Manage kitting process for production lines.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- General math, problem solving, and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Extensive knowledge of all inventory related procedures and system transactions.
- Proficient in creating and using Excel spread sheets to support position activities.
- Good organizational and follow-up skills.
- Detailed knowledge of product lines and production processes associated with each.
- Ability to perform daily clerical tasks associated with reviewing production, receiving, and shipping data for accuracy.
- Excellent computer skills; working knowledge of numerous J.D. Edward applications, Excel spreadsheets, word processing.
- Must understand and follow quality policy and procedures.
- Must follow all safety policies and procedures
Education and Training:
- Associates degree or 5 years of qualified work experience
- Strong reading, writing, and arithmetic skills
- Willingness to partake in additional schooling upon request
