Job Duties:
  • Monitor, utilize, and control the equipment fleet in the most efficient and cost effective manner, while ensuring to service customer needs, both internal and external.
  • Ensure availability and response to phone inquiries from all internal and external customers in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Monitor other customer entry points (i.e. Outlook, Fax) for customer inquiries and respond within agreed upon deadlines with all relevant information.
  • Serve as a liaison for our customers, including truckers, to other related entities such as terminals, other Service Center, and Sales offices.
  • Promote compliance with US Customs and other law enforcement agencies and authorities to assist with safe and secure cargo transport, including automobile and US Coast Guard holds.
  • Monitor and verify cargo movements and gate receipts.
  • Attain approval for and monitor/manage receipt and loading of OOG and hazardous cargo.
  • Liaise with vessel operators, stevedores, terminals and booking department in creating load list and supplying any reports necessary, including CBFs, hazardous and reefer manifests.
  • Make certain computer system is updated in a timely manner to show current location of equipment, paying special attention to the loading and discharging moves on the vessels.

Job duties include but not limited to:
  • Update Extranet with sailing information.
  • Dispatch and monitor export intermodal and off hire moves.
  • Process invoices and create third party invoices as necessary.

Job Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalency
  • 1 – 2 years of functional experience in Equipment management
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills (written & verbal).
  • Organizational and Time management skills : multi-tasking and prioritizing, planning work activities efficiently to meet deadlines
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Products, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook

Should be able to hear and speak clearly using phone/headset to communicate with customers; be able to navigate, view and enter information into the computer.
