Role Overview:

We are looking for an accountable Chemical Operator III to join our team at our Earth City, MO location. The Chemical Operator 3 will be responsible for the operation, cleaning, documentation, changeover and maintenance of form/fill/seal and liquid packaging equipment used in the production of medical products for the dental industry.

Responsibilities:
  • Safe and efficient operation of form/fill/seal and liquid packaging equipment in the production of medical products for the dental industry.
  • Training and coaching new operators on safety, quality and operational procedures and ensuring adherence to established SOPs and guidelines.
  • Continuously improve department operations through the use of lean manufacturing principles, problem solving skills and teamwork.
  • Ensuring proper completion of all in-process quality testing tasks, and documenting the results of in-process quality tests on the batch record.
  • Performing or assisting in performing cleaning, changeovers and maintenance on packaging machinery.

Qualifications:
  • Experience with lean manufacturing methodologies
  • Knowledge of manufacturing in a regulated environment (FDA, ISO, etc.)
  • Understand and use metric measurements and conversions
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and aptitude to learn new software applications
  • Familiar with all departments within manufacturing and their interdependency, including flow of materials and flow of information
  • Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization including the executive team
  • Must have a strong sense of urgency in accomplishing goals
  • May need to lift up to 50 lbs. on occasion
