Job Description:

Hassett Logistics is seeking a Brokerage Sales Representative to join our Brokerage team in Oakbrook Terrace, IL. The Brokerage Sales Representative will be tasked with reaching out to potential customers and identifying new business within a dynamic 3PL environment.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Contacting potential customers through cold calling, prospecting, lead generation and referrals to identify a fit for Hassett Logistics and the customers.
  • Find and identify opportunities to grow business not just though the initial sale but taking the relationship to the next level with an understanding of the customer's needs and our service offerings.
  • Execute opportunities in terms of price negotiation to drive profit margin.
  • Manage own book of business and be accountable to the customers as we are their carrier when they choose to use us.
  • Ability to function operationally when needed to add value when help is needed to make sure the customer's needs are met.
  • Ability to manage expectations across the spectrum of communication between the customer's wants and our carrier's execution.
  • Work well in a team environment as the product we sell is our people and our relationships with our vendors.
  • Ability to operate and make decisions best for all parties in a fast paced, high pressure environment.
  • Other projects as assigned

Qualifications:
  • 2 to 5 years of Transportation Sales experience preferred
  • Bachelor Degree preferred, but not required
  • Demonstrate Excellent negotiation skills
  • Must be detailed oriented while multitasking
  • Use good judgment in completing work tasks
